[‘Associated Press’のもじり。おそらく1950年のBugs Bunnyの漫画『What's Up, Doc?』への言及に着想を得た] 任意のテキストを、marketroidに通すよりもさらに効率的に、笑える可能性のあるゴミに変換するアルゴリズム。このアルゴリズムは、テキスト中の連続する任意のN個の単語(または文字)を表示することから始まる。それから各ステップで、すでに表示された最後のN個の単語(または文字)が元のテキスト中にランダムに出現する箇所を探し、その次の単語または文字を表示する。EMACSにはこのための便利なコマンドがある。以下は、このJargon Fileの以前の版に適用した単語ベースのDissociated Pressの短い例である。
